Azin Feizabadi is as a filmmaker, visual artist, film curator and university lecturer in Germany and elsewhere. He is a member of the Berlinale Shorts selection committee since 2020 and the programming team for the Kassel Video & Documentary Film Festival (short film section) since 2018.

Born in Tehran and raised between Iran and Germany, he has been living in Berlin since 2001. After a Voluntary Cultural Year (2001-2002), in which he developed and organized various theatre projects with young people from the pre-gentrified Kreuzberg neighborhood, Azin Feizabadi began studying fine arts at the University of the Arts Berlin in 2004 and graduated in 2009 with a Meisterschüler Degree. Recipient of the DAAD, between 2009 and 2011 he studied Film Form and Visual Arts at the New School in New York (MFA). Azin Feizabadi has screened, staged, published and exhibited his works at The Guggenheim Museum New York, Berlinale Forum Expanded, MMK Frankfurt, International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, House of World Cultures Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, RWE Kino Museum Ostwall Dortmund, Sharjah Biennial UAE, Queens Museum New York, Savvy Contemporary Berlin, et al. His fiction feature debut UCHRONIA (93”, 2019) premiered in 2019 and has been shown in cinemas in Germany.
